i just want to explain the point of this blog a little bit more, and since i'm still in the very beginnings of it i figured i'd be forgiven for not inserting it in my very first post.
the point of this blog is not that i am this awesome thrifty person that spends such little money on extravagant things. that i'm some "queen of thrift" expecting my minions to prostrate before me because of all the great deals i've seen.
the point of this blog, really, is that i think being thrifty and frugal is just plain awesome, and i want to be a part of this club. this is a challenge to myself (and my future hubby, even though he doesn't know it yet). the way i see it is, what better time to start than right after i get married?
for my whole life i've lived with my family. i only lived on my own away at school, so coming back home was hard after i had already established my independence. even though it's been almost 3 years since i'm back home, i've been itching to get back out there and be on my own (mad props to mom for cooking for me all these years though!). part of this re-independence gaining is not being in debt, you know, pretty easy to do. no bigs.
enter: the blog! in all it's cheap glory. all this being said, i'm inviting you to challenge me. keep me accountable. help.
:)
